Only a block north of where a pedestrian was killed on April 10 along NE 82nd Avenue of Roses, another person was killed two Saturdays later, on April 24.
Portland Police Bureau (PPB) North Precinct officers were again dispatched to NE 82nd Avenue of Roses, this time near the intersection with Alberta Street.
Officers found an adult male with fatal injuries. What they didn’t find was the vehicle, or the driver, responsible for it.
The thoroughfare was closed for several hours, from NE Wygant to Killingsworth Streets, while members of the PPB Major Crash Team investigated the fatality.

Two days later, a Portland Police spokesperson reported that the deceased was 30-year-old Anthony L. Tolliver. “The investigation is continuing into the circumstances of the crash, and the identity of the driver involved,” the official added.
