The gunman just walked away, and seemed to vanish. “On the day of the shooting, officers searched the area for the suspect but did not locate him at that time,” recalled PPB Public Information Officer Sgt. Christopher Burley.
Officers share information about the man suspected of this daytime shooting.
During their investigation, members of the PPB Gang Enforcement Team (GET) learned the man suspected of being the gunman was named Michael Adams, and began looking him.
The efforts of GET paid off on August 1 at 5:44 p.m., with the help of district officers when they performed a “traffic stop’ Adams’ vehicle.
“During the traffic stop, Adams was taken into custody without incident,” Burley said. “As officers searched Adams after his arrest, they located a firearm on Adams’ body. The firearm was seized as evidence.”
