There was a large party at a house on SE 90th Avenue between Duke and Tolman Streets on Wednesday evening, July 30.
Portland Police Bureau East (PPB) Precinct officers responded after a neighbor called the 9-1-1 Center 10:45 p.m., to report hearing multiple gun shots.
When officers arrived they found two juvenile victims with injuries related to the gunfire.
An ambulance takes away one of the teenage gunshot victims.
“One juvenile male was transported to an area hospital by ambulance with what is believed to be a non-life-threatening injury,” said PPB Public Information Officer Sgt. Pete Simpson.
A juvenile female was treated at the scene by emergency medical personnel for an injury related to the shooting, Simpson added.
“During the investigation, officers learned that there was a large fight and disturbance at the party prior to the shooting,” Simpson revealed. “Based on information officers gathered at the scene, the Gang Violence Response Team investigated the shooting.”
Officers investigated, but did not learn much about the suspect or suspects from witnesses.
Officers investigate the shooting, but learn little from witnesses.
Across Portland, this was the sixth Gang Violence Response Team investigation in a 24 hour period, and the 68th such investigation this year.
