Thursday evening, April 11, offered the opportunity for City of Portland City Council, District 1, candidates to come out and campaign for the office at the Lents Neighborhood Livability Association (LNLA) meeting.

As it turned out, only six of the twelve candidates running for the seat showed up. Some declined; others didn’t respond – but organizers say invitations were extended – more than once – to all of their campaign offices.

As LNLA members and guests browsed the “Street Tacos and Chips buffet” presented by Birrieria on 82nd, the candidates were given the opportunity to make posters that outlined how they would address the “No. 1 LNLA Issue” – Safety and Livability.

As the meeting gets underway, six candidates are seated before a “full house” of attendees.

As moderator for the candidate forum, LNLA Vice Chair Todd Littlefield greets the candidates.
