Fortunately, no one was injured when two men strolled into “All Stop Pipes and Tobacco” at 14447 SE Division Street, just after 7:00 p.m., on Sunday, January 14 – and held up the store.
Portland Police Bureau (PPB) East Precinct officers arrived and started looking for the two robbers in the area.
“Employees said that two suspects entered the location and demanded money, while one of the suspects brandished a firearm; then, after obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, both men left the location without incident,” said PPB Public Information Officer Sergeant Christopher Burley.
This officer stands by, while others cruise down neighborhood streets, looking for two armed bandits.
One of the suspects was described as a black male in his 20’s, 6’3″ tall, with a thin build. The other suspect was described as a black male in his late teens, 5’7″ tall, and also with a thin build.
“Responding officers searched the area, but did not locate anyone matching the suspects’ description,” Burley conceded.
After searching the area and coming up empty-handed, officers stay at the store and gather more information.
Investigators with the Portland Police Bureau Detective Division’s Robbery Detail are investigating this case; anyone with information about it is asked to contact Robbery Detail detectives at 503-823-0405.
