Officers share information about an armed robbery that took place in the industrial area of Parkrose.

The area of the Parkrose neighborhood along NE Marx Street near 109th Avenue is mostly industrial – and is rife with campers.
It’s not yet been established whether or not the pair of armed men strolled who into a business on the block, and committed a robbery on April 14, were among the nearby homeless. “But I wouldn’t be surprised if a couple of the local campers were involved,” a neighbor commented, as he watched the investigation unfold nearby.
At 2:04 p.m. Monday afternoon, Portland Police Bureau (PPB) North Precinct officers were dispatched for a “Robbery—with Weapon”.
More officers arrive to search for the armed robbery suspects.
Some of the ten officers were originally sent a block south, to the area of NE 109th Avenue and Killingsworth Street, only to find that northbound NE 109th Avenue ends at the railroad track, and there’s no crossing there.
Looking for any evidence that armed robbers may have left behind, an officer scrutinizes the area.
“A business reported two suspects came in and robbed them at gunpoint,” is what PPB Public Information Officer Sergeant Kevin Allen told East Portland News about the incident.
“Fortunately, no physical injuries were reported; the PPB’s Major Crimes Unit is investigating,” Sergeant Kevin Allen continued, “and, no immediate arrests have been made.”
The investigation is open and active. If you have information to share about this incident, and haven’t already spoken with police, email crimetips@police.portlandoregon.gov, and be sure to mention that it’s regarding Case No. 25-95801.
