Concerned neighbors at the Glendoveer Heights Apartments called the 9-1-1 Center at 12:43 p.m. on November 28, after hearing what they described as a “family fight” getting out of control in one of the units.

Portland Police Bureau (PPB) East Precinct district officers arrived to assess the situation.

Portland Fire paramedics help the injured person out of the apartment.

“The incident report shows that this was a family disturbance, with an out-of-control individual,” PPB Public Information Officer Sgt. Greg Stewart told East Portland News.

By 1:00 p.m. Portland Fire & Rescue Rockwood Station Truck 31’s paramedics had also come to the complex, tending to a person near the door of a second-story apartment. Soon, an AMR ambulance was also on-scene.

After securing the patient on a gurney, paramedics slide the patient into a waiting ambulance.

One person was transported to a local hospital, with medical condition unknown.

The cause of the family fight has not been made public, and the incident remains under investigation.
