One wouldn’t even see the duplex, driving by 3036 SE 92nd Avenue – it’s on a shallow “flag lot”, tucked behind a house, and backed up to I-205.

Until late April 30, the Huang family lived in this home, according to public records, which was rented from another SE Portland individual.

Red tape marks off this residence as an active crime scene.

“All kinds of police started showing up last night,” recalled Elsie Jackson early the next morning, just after East Portland News arrived on-scene. “It was hard to sleep last night, seeing the street blocked off, and the big police truck parked outside my apartment all night.”

Portland Police Bureau (PPB) Public Information Office Sgt. Pete Simpson reported the reason for the activity: “Homicide Detectives and Criminalists from the Forensic Evidence Division are responding to conduct a death investigation.

Working at the front door, a PPB criminologist gathers evidence.

“Officers arrived and located a deceased person in the residence,” Simpson stated.

The following day, the police spokesman said the Oregon State Medical Examiner performed an autopsy on the deceased, identified as 33-year-old Dixiang Huang. “It was determined that she died of homicidal violence.”

Well into the next day, police block off northbound SE 92nd Avenue, from SE Powell Boulevard.

Crime scene technicians and detectives worked on into the morning, keeping northbound SE 92nd Avenue blocked until they wrapped up their investigation mid-day.

“The Portland Police Bureau is seeking the public’s help in locating 46-year-old Le Huang who is wanted for the murder of 33-year-old Dixiang Huang,” Simpson later said.

Police say they’re looking for this man, 46-year-old Le Huang, in connection with their murder investigation.

“Huang is described as an Asian male, 5’7″, 130 pounds, black hair, and brown eyes,” he added. Investigators consider Huang to be armed and dangerous. Anyone seeing Huang is asked not to approach him and to immediately call 9-1-1.”

CAPTURED!
“Wanted murder suspect Le Huang was arrested on Friday in Seattle, Washington by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force,” Sgt. Simpson reported on May 4. “Huang was booked into the King County Jail where he will await extradition to Oregon.”

Anyone with information this homicide investigation is asked to contact Detective Mark Sponhauer at (503) 823-0416 – or via email: Mark.Sponhauer@PortlandOregon.gov.
