Man wounded in another shooting at troubled apartments

The Glenwood Apartments is again the scene of a shooting; but police aren’t yet saying that this one is gang-related.

Ten days after a pair of shootings, in which three juveniles were arrested on attempted murder charges, shots again ran out at the Glenwood Apartments, located at 13116 SE Powell Boulevard, this time about 1:30 a.m. on June 21.

Portland Police Bureau East Precinct officers arrived at these outer East Portland apartments, and summoned the Bureau’s Gang Enforcement Team investigate.

Witnesses told reporters that four people, one armed with a pistol, pushed their way into an apartment unit, and shot a teenager inside.

With a wounded shooting victim inside, the ambulance prepares to leave for a local hospital.

The 19-year-old was reportedly shot in the pelvis; the youth was taken to a hospital, and is expected to recover.

Officials did say that, at this time, they aren’t considering this to be a gang shooting.
