The multiple gunshots riddled a car with bullet holes and injured the driver in the parking lot of the Glasshouse Tavern, 9710 NE Sandy Boulevard, on October 18 at 12:21 a.m.

“Officers learned that the victim was seated in his parked vehicle at the establishment when a suspect fired multiple gunshots at the victim and the victim’s vehicle,” reported Portland Police Bureau Public Information Officer Sergeant Chris Burley.

Bystanders call the 9-1-1 Center, reporting that a wounded man – driving a car with fresh bullet holes – just pulled in to a gas station.

“After the shooting, investigators believe the suspect entered a vehicle and drove away in an unknown direction,” Burley said. “After being shot, the victim drove himself about two blocks east to a Shell gas station, where he received medical aid and was contacted by police and emergency medical responders.”

A paramedic closes the ambulance door after loading a seriously wounded shooting victim.

“The 31-year-old male victim was suffering from serious but not life-threatening injuries,” added Burley. “Two community members provided medical aid to the victim, as police and emergency medical personnel responded to the scene; the victim was transported by ambulance to a Portland hospital for treatment.”

While investigating the incident, officers found evidence of gunfire in the tavern’s parking lot, and observed multiple bullet strikes in the victim’s vehicle.

The police Gang Enforcement Team is called on to help investigate this shooting.

“Based on information learned during the investigation, the Gang Enforcement Team took over the investigation,” Burley said.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Portland Police Bureau Tactical Operation Division’s Gang Enforcement Team at 503-823-4106.
