Now in the middle of their 16th season, the Lents International Farmers Market (LIFM) continues to offer fresh and prepared foods from neighbors from miles around.

“It’s all fresh, every week!” says LIFM Market Manager Kirsten Williams.
“Yes, indeed, the market is going really well this year,” assured Market Manager Kirsten Williams. “We’re seeing a lot of community support here; and, our vendors are really committed to feeding this neighborhood fresh foods.
“Typically, shoppers will find 13 to 15 vendors here each week; and we have some ‘specialty vendors’ who pop in now and then,” Williams told East Portland News. “Several of our vendors have been here for more than a decade.
Long time vendors Vladimir and Olza Stadnikov from Stadnikov Farm sell their locally grown produce and preserved foods.
Mandy King, with Money Bowl, is scooping up another delicious rice dish.
“Shoppers will find the ‘most local’ seasonal vegetables and fruits each week,” Williams continued. “They can find wild foraged mushrooms and fruits, hot sauce, alcoholic options, ginger beer – plus the best tamales and rice bowls in town!”
Each market draws as many as 800 shoppers every Sunday, in the five hours they are open – including about 40 SNAP shoppers, according to Williams.
“If you haven’t been out for a while, come check out our market; we’ve got a little bit of everything, from fresh foods to prepared foods,” Williams invited.
