An hour after sunset on February 25, near Zenger Farm, a pedestrian was struck on SE Foster Road.

At 6:54 p.m. that evening, Portland Police Bureau (PPB) East Precinct officers were dispatched to the pedestrian vs. vehicle crash in Foster Road’s 11400 block..

Officers and paramedics came across an injured patient, an adult male, who was taken to a local hospital by ambulance. At the time his injuries were thought to be non-life threatening, but that proved not to be the case.

“However, later that evening, officers were notified that the patient’s injuries were more serious than initially believed, and that he died at the hospital,” the police spokesperson revealed.

A member of the PPB MCT was called to the crash scene to collect data. A PPB Traffic Investigations Unit officer has been assigned to the case.

On February 26 it police identified the deceased as 41-year-old Cedar C. Markey-Towler of Portland.

After ascertaining facts, an officer writes down his notes in his police cruiser.

No suspect has been found as of yet, but the suspect’s description is not being released at this time.
