A little more than a month ago, gunman pulled a heist at a Powellhurst-Gilbert Neighborhood area coffee stand, scaring the wits out of the barista and stealing their day’s money.

It happened a 8:21 p.m. on December 12, police say. Portland Police Bureau (PPB) officers roll to investigate a reported armed robbery at the Dutch Brothers Coffee hut at 13640 SE Division Street.

This stick-up didn’t go unobserved. Take a look at these images, captured from the coffee shop’s security cameras.

“Officers learned that the suspect walked up and knocked on the window,”  and as the clerk opened the window, the suspect pulled on a ski mask, says Crime Stoppers point man, PPB spokesman Sgt. Pete Simpson. “The suspect pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded money. he clerk gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of money and the suspect then fled the area on foot.”

Even though the gun-toting crook was on foot, he managed elude even the keen-nosed Portland Police K-9s who searched the area.

“The suspect is described as a white male, 25-30 years old, 5’5″ to 5’9″, thin build, dark green or brown eyes, scruffy facial hair, and thick eye brows,” Simpson reports.
