At least, this time, the clerk wasn’t injured – in this Rosewood-area holdup of an outer East Portland establishment …
A robbery alarm triggered in a Glenfair neighborhood lotto-deli brings police racing to the scene.

In late 2012, when armed ruffians robbed the Lucky Spot at 14919 SE Stark Street, a casher was beaten during the holdup.
The report of an armed robbery on March 25 at 1:04 a.m. again brought Portland Police Bureau (PPB) East Precinct officers back to the Lucky Spot.
“Employees told officers that two men, one armed with a handgun, robbed the business and left the area,” reported PPB Public Information Officer Pete Simpson.
On the lookout for two robbery suspects, officers search streets near the scene of the crime.
While some officers interviewed the employee, Simpson said, others fanned out through the neighborhood, but didn’t find anyone matching the suspects’ descriptions.
“The suspect with the gun was described as a Black or Hispanic male, light complexion, wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt, blue bandana, and armed with a handgun,” Simpson told us.
“The second suspect was described also as a Black or Hispanic male, light complexion, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, and a baseball cap.”
Fortunately, no one was injured this time when hoodlums again rob this Glenfair lotto-deli store early in the morning.
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact Robbery Division detectives at 503-823-0400.
