S.E. Foster Road was alive with activity on June 24 as the annual Foster Summer Soirée was underway.
Between having the various members of the Foster Area Business Association (FABA) offering sidewalk sales and events; along with the many Meet Your Maker PDX vendors set up beside the thoroughfare, there was much to see and do.
At the business association’s exhibit in Laurelwood Park we found FABA President Danielle Deschenes, along with Jeff Lynott from Venture Portland.
“Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s been a couple of years since we’ve been able to hold a large event like this,” FABA President Danielle Deschenes, of Living Room Realty, told East Portland News.
“What got people in the business Association excited was the opportunity to get the neighborhood energized, and bring people back out onto the streets,” she added.
Showing and selling her fine art photo prints is Sarah Lofthouse.
“When people come out – and today, they really have! – they see all the new businesses that are here that are popping up around us” observed Deschenes.
Take a quick video tour of the Foster Summer Soirée:
The Foster Summer Soirée hosted some 25 vendors in Laurelwood Park. And also along S.E. Foster Road there were as many as 75 vendors greeting visitors and selling their works of art.
Folks come out in droves to experience the Foster Summer Soirée event.
“More than simply visiting, hopefully, people who came out today are spending some money too, as they are getting to know all the great shops, restaurants, and establishments that we have here in our ‘FoPo’ Neighborhood Business District.”
