At its annual meeting the evening of February 22, held at Bar Carlo in the Foster-Powell neighborhood, members of the Foster Area Business Association (FABA) networked, noshed, the new Board elected its Officers for the year.
With no formal meeting, the 16 attendees spent the evening snacking on hot appetizers and getting to know one another better.
Holding the FABA election of officers is Venture Portland Training Manager Neil Schulman.
After having elected members to FABA’s 2018 Board of Directors, the Board later gathered, according to their bylaws, to elect Officers:
President: Allen Rowand
Vice-President: Kelsey Denogeon
Co-secretaries: Laura Kropf and Matthew Micetic
Treasurer: Steve O’Flynn
Past President: Matthew Micetic
Folks attending the meeting listen to how FABA will be improving the organization to better serve businesses in the area.
“This year, we’re expanding our use of committees to provide our members opportunities to participate without committing to a full board position,” FABA President Allen Rowand with Gray Dog Digital told East Portland News.
“And, we’re also looking to increase our charitable work in the community,” Rowand said.
Also, this summer, look for the return of their Foster Road “Tasting Tour” and Holiday season tree lighting events, Rowand added.
