A two-car offset head-on collision briefly closed NE Glisan Street just east of SE 82nd of Roses at about 7:30 p.m. on April 16.

After Portland Police Bureau East Precinct officers spoke with witnesses and those involved in this grinding smashup, they believed that only two vehicles were involved.

The driver of this Ford F150 XLT pickup truck reportedly experienced a medical emergency and lost control of the vehicle.

A red Ford F150 XLT pickup truck was headed westbound on NE Glisan Street, and a white Toyota sedan was eastbound.

“We believe the driver of the Ford had a medical emergency,” the officer told East Portland News. “The driver of the Ford lost control of the vehicle, and drifted into the eastbound lanes of Glisan Street, hitting the Toyota.”

Occupants of the Toyota were injured in the nearly-head-on crash, by the truck.

The Toyota spun around from the crash, and caromed off a wooden utility pole, ripping away an electrical wiring conduit.

Two ambulances responded, evaluated the victims, and transporting patients to area hospitals for further examination and treatment.
