There was little information about a vehicle-versus-pedestrian collision on Saturday evening of April 10 – other than that a man had died after being struck by a car in the Cully Neighborhood.
Portland Police Bureau (PPB) officers were dispatched at 9:10 p.m. to NE 82nd Avenue of Roses, in the short block between NE Alberta and Humboldt Street.
After receiving emergency first aid at the scene, the critically injured pedestrian is taken to a local hospital, where he later died.
Arriving officers found an adult male, who they thought was a pedestrian, injured in the roadway. Portland Fire & Rescue and ambulance responded to the patient at the scene; but he apparently died after being taken to a local hospital.
The involved driver remained at the scene, and cooperated with the PPB Major Crash Team investigators. So far, no citations have been issued.
