Not long ago, Crime Stoppers of Oregon revealed they were continuing to work with the Portland Police Bureau (PPB) on solving the October 30, 2014, murders of Jerry Ephrem and his wife, Helen Ephrem, in their home on NE 114th Avenue – three houses north of Glisan Street.
Just after noon, on that day, someone called the 9-1-1 Center to report a possible deceased person at that address.

Later that day, a family relative, Jerry Stevens told reporters, “A family member called, and couldn’t get a hold of them – so they came by, looked in the window and saw them.”
The couple were fine when he last visited the house, about a week before murders, Stevens said at the time, “They were good family-oriented people, and didn’t bother anyone.”
Apparently the Ephrems had lived in the house for forty years before their untimely deaths.
If you know something about this crime, help police find the killer or killers of Jerry and Helen Ephrem, both of whom were 65 years old at the time.
