The streets of outer East Portland are a bit safer now. In two arrests by officers of the Portland Police Bureau (PPB), at different times and locations on November 5, gun-packing drug dealers were arrested.
Earlier in the day, officers from the PPB’s East Precinct Neighborhood Response Team (NRT) and Street Crime Team (SCT) had developed information on a subject – a felon – who was reported to have both heroin and multiple firearms.
“The officers executed a search warrant at a residence about four blocks south of SE Division Street on 125th Avenue, near Woodward Street,” an official said about the raid.

“Officers safely executed the search warrant, and took custody of 27 year-old Dillon Charles Bleichner,” the police spokesperson reported. “Officers seized $1,559, over 120 grams of heroin, 3 semi-automatic handguns, an AR-15 assault rifle, a .308 assault rifle, a 30-30 lever-action rifle, a black powder revolver, a sawed off 12 gauge shotgun, ballistic vests, and ammunition.”
Now facing numerous felony charges is 27 year-old Dillon Charles Bleichner.
Bleichner was booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center at 3:33 p.m. charges of Possession of Heroin, Delivery of Heroin, and Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
At his arraignment the following day, Bleichner learned he’d also face multiple additional felonious drug and weapons charges, including “Felon in Possession of Body Armor”. Currently, Bleichner is being held at Inverness Jail, in lieu of $115,000 combined bail.
Evening arrest in Rockwood captures another felon
During a traffic stop, officers find that the driver has a gun, and lots of illegal drugs.
At 11:05 p.m. that evening, PPB Gun Violence Reduction Team officers spotted a speeding vehicle along SE 167th Avenue near East Burnside Street, just east of the Portland city line in the Rockwood neighborhood of Gresham, and made a traffic stop.
“During the stop, officers located a revolver, 62 grams of cocaine, and 19 grams of methamphetamine in the vehicle,” a police bureau official said.
21 year-old Darin Christian Carter now faces felony drug charges after being caught speeding in his vehicle.
The driver, identified as Darin Christian Carter, a 21 year-old, was arrested and booked at the Multnomah County Detention Center at 12:16 a.m. on November 6 on charges of “Felon in Possession of a Firearm”, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Possession of a Loaded Firearm in Public, Possession of a Controlled Substance (Cocaine), Delivery of a Controlled Substance (Cocaine), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine), and Delivery of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine).
At his arraignment later on the day of his booking, in Multnomah County District Court, Carter learned he’d face five felony charges and a misdemeanor count. Currently Carter is housed at Inverness Jail, in lieu of $90,000 combined bail.
