Portland Police Bureau (PPB) officers were called to the back of the shopping center near the outer East Portland WinCo Foods store – to Paddy’s Old Irish Cafe, at 1736 Northeast 122nd Avenue – on the report of an armed robbery on February 9 at 1:13 a.m.

“East Precinct officers arrived in the area, and contacted an employee who told police that the suspect entered the business, armed with a handgun, and demanded money,” PPB Public Information Officer Sgt. Pete Simpson told us.

“After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect ran out of the bar, and was last seen running west through the parking lot,” Simpson added.

The suspect is described as an African American male in his 30s, 6′ tall, 200 pounds, wearing dark clothing. The suspect’s sweatshirt had “ALOHA” on the front and he was armed with a handgun.

“The Portland Police Bureau, in cooperation with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, is asking for the public’s help to identify a suspect in an armed robbery,” Simpson said.
