In the CORE (Collective OR Eateries), a location that’s new to many people, the East Portland Chamber of Commerce (EPCC) hosted another East PDX CONNECT meeting.
After visiting one of the many food carts at the location, attendees came into the building and joined in the gathering.
EPCC Ambassador Lauren Kane of Insurance Solutions NW and EPCC Executive Administrator Jocelyn Jester welcome guests to the event.
“The Chamber is been hosting ‘member showcases’ for a long time,” explained EPCC Executive Administrator Jocelyn Jester.
“This is an opportunity for businesses to get their names out into their community,” she told East Portland News.
With Mt. Hood Community College, Student Brand Ambassadors Peyton Hull and Charles Wainaina – the both members of the Student Council – tell about their school, along with one of the college’s Board of Directors, Annette Mattson.
Demonstrating his healing art is Thomas Friedrich, of Tabor Rolfing & Bodywork.
Some 30 attendees circulated among the business representatives at eight tables.
“This is important to our organization, because one of our main goals is supporting all kinds of businesses in East Portland,” explained Jester. “This includes making sure all the businesses are ‘heard’, especially small businesses.”
